Recognising that many guests are travelling a distance we offer an early check in time of 12.15 so that you can get your bearings, freshen up and have a cup of tea or coffee before the festivities begin. Just let us know if you would like to avail of this early check in and we will be here to welcome you. The road from Kilshane to Springhouse B&B is the main N24. The local taxi service operates until 5am. If you leave your car at Kilshane House we can give you a complementary lift back to collect it after breakfast the next morning. On our doorstep is a drive through the Glen of Aherlow where you can admire the majestic sweep of the Galtee Mountains and the lush countryside known as the Golden Vale. Cahir Castle: (Pronounced Care) From Springhouse turn
left and follow N24 through Bansha into Cahir. Approx 10- 15 minute drive.
Worth waiting for the guided tour which is very interesting. Excellent
audio-visual show. Rock of Cashel: (in Cashel about 8 miles) Worth a visit
to explore the castle and appreciate the views, lots of places to eat
in Cashel, pub lunches generally very good value. If Davern’s shop
has their summer sale on well worth a visit for clothes ladies and gents. Bru Bru Centre Cashel: (at foot of Rock of Cashel) Good Irish show and meal, you can see the show without having the meal but you need to book both – ask Gerry about it Mitchelstown Caves: Brilliant! About 30 mins drive maybe less. When approaching Cahir from Bansha you come to a big island. Take Cork exit. The caves are signposted on your left. www.mitchelstowncave.com/ Tipperary Town Tourist Centre: Is in the Excel Centre Tipperary town. Excel Centre Tipp Town: This also houses a theatre and cinema and we are very proud to have such a great facility in our small town. There is a nice café inside which is open to all. Gift shop, tourist info. Kickham Pub: Good lunches and Ceilh music in the evenings. Each pub that has music generally has a notice outside as to what is on and when. The Venue, Dundrum (take Dundrum road out of Tipperary) Irish set Dancing on Thursday night good fun, very good meals book a table. La Candella: Italian restaurant in Tipp town. Excellent food and value, take your own wine – you can buy it opposite at Lidl. Hillcrest Riding Centre Gallbally: Only place locally that does pony trekking. You need to book in advance.
