The Yellow Flag Iris - Iris Pseudacorus, at Dundrum Woods, Dundrum, County Tipperary.
The word iris is Greek for rainbow. The Yellow Flag Iris is a plant of wet ground or shallow
water. It grows in marshes and woods and near rivers and streams.

October 1999    "Marl Bog Dundrum County Tipperary"
Image insets: The Common Frog ie. Rana tempororia. The females grow to 3" or 75 mm in length males are smaller. The Common Frog is mottled in shades of green, yellow or brown with a dark patch behind the eye.
Also the Sulphur tuft fungus which grows on the stumps of dead trees.

bottom left and right, not identified. If unsure about fungi do NOT eat, as they maybe deadly poisonous.

November 1999 "Hi, meet Plato the tipp webmasters cat" (2rd image for November 1999).
A fun desktop image , which unlike the other desktop images will almost cover your desktop space
(screen view 640 x 480). This fun desktop was started to mark  "Net Days Ireland".

Feburary 2000 "Clonea Strand" The coast is just a short drive from County Tipperary. Clonea Strand is just 20 miles from
Clonmel in County Tipperary, the image insets are of St. Declan's Monastery at Ardmore.

November 2000 "Cashel County Tipperary". Airmail designed by Richard J.King. The Angel Victor (Saint Patrick's
Messenger), carrying the voice of the Irish (Vox Hiberniae).The 1s 5d Deep Ultramarine Airmail showing the Rock of
Cashel, is postmarked. Issued 1 April 1965, watermarked with the multiple E ( Éire). The inset shows the Airmail in colour,
not to scale.
